Gita Nayyar is an Independent Director on our Board. She holds a master’s degree in business administration from Amos Tuck School of Business Administration, Dartmouth College, United States of America. She is also serving as a director on the boards of Oriental Hotels Limited, Transport Corporation of India Limited, Taj Sats Air Catering Limited and Ask Investment Managers Limited. She is also a member of the board of governors of Indian Institute of Management Udaipur and of the governing body of HelpAge India. She was initially appointed on our Board with effect from May 29, 2021 and re-appointed as an Independent Director, through Postal Ballot, for the second tenure of five (5) consecutive years from May 29, 2024 to May 28, 2029

Shri D. Surendran holds a Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, Masters in Science and Postgraduate Diploma in Software Engineering. Additionally, he is a Certified Associate of the Indian Institute of Bankers. He began his banking career with Canara Bank in July 1990 as an AEO. Over the course of his career, he rose through the ranks, being promoted to Manager in 1999, Senior Manager in 2005, Chief Manager in 2008, Assistant General Manager in 2013, Deputy General Manager in 2018, General Manager in 2020, and Chief General Manager in 2023. With 35 years of experience in the banking sector, Sri D. Surendran has accumulated vast expertise in branch operations, having headed multiple branches in diverse demographics. He also took on greater responsibilities by heading the Madurai Circle. Throughout his career, he has worked in various locations across India viz. Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Delhi and West Bengal. He has been appointed as an Executive Director of Punjab National Bank since March 2025. He holds membership in several committees of Punjab National Bank i.e. Management Committee of the Board, IT Strategy Committee of the Board, Committee of Directors to Review Vigilance and Non-Vigilance Cases, Customer Service Committee of the Board , Credit Approval Committee of the Board, Steering Committee of the Board on HR and Capital Raising Committee.

Tejendra Mohan Bhasin is an Independent Director on our Board. He holds a bachelor’s degree in law from University of Delhi, a master’s degree in science from Meerut University, a master’s degree in business administration from University of Delhi and a doctorate degree in philosophy from University of Madras, Chennai. He is a certified associate of Indian Institute of Bankers. He was conferred honorary fellowship by the Governing Council of Indian Institute of Banking and Finance in 2010. He has over 37 years of experience in the banking sector. Previously, he was associated with Indian Bank as a chairman and managing director and was a vigilance commissioner in the Central Vigilance Commission for four years. He is currently the chairman of the Advisory Board for Banking and Financial Frauds which has been constituted by the Central Vigilance Commission. He is also serving as a director on the boards of Patanjali Foods Limited (previously known as Ruchi Soya Industries Limited), SBI Cards and Payment Services Limited, PNB Gilts Limited and SBI Life Insurance Company Limited. He was appointed on our Board with effect from April 2, 2020.

Mr. Ajai Kumar Shukla is the Managing Director & Chief Executive Officer of PNB Housing Finance Limited, bringing with him over 30 years of deep expertise in the Housing and Mortgage Lending industry. A seasoned business leader, he is widely recognized for his strategic vision, operational excellence, and ability to drive large-scale transformation across financial services organizations.

Prior to joining PNB Housing Finance, Mr. Shukla spent 16 years with Tata Capital Housing Finance Limited, where he played a pivotal role in shaping the company’s growth trajectory. As Chief Business Officer, he led multiple critical verticals including Credit, Risk, Valuation, Digital Transformation, and Affordable Housing Finance. His leadership was instrumental in strengthening the company’s business model, expanding its market presence, and enhancing customer-centric capabilities. His previous stints with ICICI Bank in the mortgage business, and LIC Housing Finance Limited helped him build a strong foundation in housing finance operations.

Mr. Shukla holds a postgraduate degree in Finance from CSJM University, Kanpur, and a Bachelor of Science degree from Kanpur University. His academic grounding, combined with extensive industry experience, has shaped him into a respected industry leader known for his business acumen, people-first leadership style, and deep understanding of India’s housing finance ecosystem.
